A gallery of Dartmoor moorland images.
Dartmoor is a national park covering 368 square miles in the southwest of the UK. It is perhaps best known as an upland area covered in rocky outcrops, or tors. However, there is much more to it than this.
The landscape varies from rural areas and quaint little villages, through rivers and woodland, to remote, boggy, and barren uplands.
There is much evidence of man’s influence on this area, from ancient stone rows, through more recent mining relics, to the modern military training areas in the northwest of the moor.
This gallery contains some of my favourite images from the open moorland and rural areas. Please click on an image to open it up in lightbox view.
