Welcome to my landscape photography website. My name is Bruce Little and I am a photographer based in East Devon. I started out in photography due to my love of the outdoors – originally around the picturesque hills, villages and countryside of south Worcestershire but, latterly, exploring the beautiful county of Devon, home to one of my favourite places – Dartmoor. Within my website I have photo galleries of landscapes and seascapes of Devon, the southwest, and the wider UK together with, of course, Dartmoor.
I live and work in Devon, so many of my images are of the hills, moors, and coasts of this beautiful county. I love being out in the golden hour at either end of the day, particularly sunrise, as there is a peaceful quality at this time of the day which is quite special, even if the light doesn’t come good.
With my photography I strive to capture the feeling of being at my favourite places and to present my photos in as natural and fresh a way as possible. My aim is to produce images which invite the viewer in and make you feel as if you were there. I do have two exceptions to my “natural and fresh” rule: I am partial to both long exposure and black and white photography. Each of these styles allow me the freedom to portray a scene in a more artistic way.
Please come in and have a look around. You will find various galleries, including landscape photography, seascapes and, of course, plenty of photos of the varied landscapes of Dartmoor. I also try to keep up to date with my blog, in which I try to tell some of the stories behind my photos.
I have put together a talk which I have adapted for various audiences, which has been very well-received. It includes an entertaining mixture of anecdotes, hints and tips and, of course, photos of the stunning landscapes of the UK. I aim for a friendly, informal, style of either one or two sessions of 45 minutes depending on your requirements. If you are a camera club, WI group, a village social club, or anyone else who is interested in making a booking, you can read more about it or contact me directly for details – you won’t regret it!
