Landscape photography covers a wide range of subjects. While an obvious draw in the southwest is Dartmoor, there are plenty more places to explore in Devon alone. This gallery contains a range of locations from the commons of East Devon to the Malvern Hills, Essex, and beyond.

Two subjects which feature often in my landscape shots are trees and buildings. Many people create fantastic images of muddled and intricate woodland scenes. I prefer to use trees in open spaces as the focus of my images, often as a lone tree in a wider setting.

Buildings and man made objects can enhance the landscape as well. Even the ugly and functional electricity pylon has its place, but I must admit that I prefer interesting and old buildings on the whole.

This gallery contains some of my favourite landscape shots from around Devon and the south of England. Please click on an image to open it in lightbox view.
