Crow Tor is quite a prominent tor, perched on the edge of its hill like, allegedly, a crow, but to me it looks like an army tank or similar defending its territory. which is perhaps appropriate as it is on the edge of a military range.
It is not an obvious tor to get to as there are no straightforward paths, but it’s not difficult either. I parked at Holming Beam and approached via Beardown tors and Lydford tor. This involved a bit of up and down, and a bit of walking over rough ground. Oh, and fording the upper West Dart river, which could be tricky after heavy rain.
It’s a peaceful spot and definitely worthwhile lingering a while to admire the views.
