Hart Tor sits in Walkhampton Common in western Dartmoor. It is easy to access, being a 15 minute or so stroll along easy ground from the road just west of Princetown. It is a more significant outcrop than it looks from afar and the views in all directions are rewarding.
When I visited I found it a difficult tor to photograph as the main subject. Perhaps this was to do with the position of the sun in the early morning. Therefore I’ve chosen to present two views from the tor, one looking east and one west towards Sharpitor and Leather Tor.
