Lower Hartor Tor sits in the upper Plym valley, a short walk from its sibling, Higher Hartor Tor. Approaching from the north it doesn’t look too impressive but this is misleading. Once at the tor, the views to the West are excellent and the profile of the tor is striking.
I approached this tor from the car park south of Princetown near Nuns Cross. Its a fairly straightforward walk up a track past Eylesbarrow and then, once Higher Hartor Tor comes into view, bear left off the path and approach the Higher tor, whereupon the route to Lower Hartor Tor becomes obvious.
